Terms of Use
Last updated: October 1, 2026
These terms govern use of the Intakes.io website and the free resources that link to them. The website is operated by Lawprocess Technologies Inc. ("Intakes.io", "we", "us" or "our"). Please read these terms before using the website. If you do not agree, do not use it.
1. Website terms and paid services
The website explains our managed intake and follow-up services and provides tools, articles and templates for law firms. Requesting an audit, using a tool or submitting a form does not purchase a service or create a paid engagement.
Paid services are governed by the proposal, order form, service agreement and any data-processing terms agreed with your firm. Those agreements control the service scope, fees, term, renewal, cancellation, support, data handling and allocation of liability. These website terms do not replace or amend them. If a signed agreement conflicts with these terms about the paid service, the signed agreement controls.
Public pricing and examples describe the stated offering and assumptions. Your firm's actual scope and charges are confirmed in writing before an engagement begins.
2. No legal advice or representation
Intakes.io is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or represent people in legal matters. Website content, compliance explanations, calculators and message templates are general operational information. They are not a substitute for advice from qualified counsel about a particular matter or jurisdiction.
Contacting us, completing a tool or using an automated workflow does not create a solicitor-client relationship with Intakes.io. We cannot accept a legal matter, assess a legal deadline or take steps to protect your legal rights. Contact a qualified lawyer directly for those needs.
A law firm using our services remains responsible for its professional judgments, legal advice, conflicts checks, client acceptance, retainers and supervision. Whether the firm has agreed to represent someone is determined by that firm's engagement arrangements, not by an automated acknowledgment, booking confirmation or intake result alone.
3. Using our resources
We give you a limited, non-exclusive permission to use our free tools and resources for your firm's internal business purposes. You may adapt downloadable or copyable message templates for your firm's own intake process. Review them for accuracy, consent requirements and professional obligations before sending them.
You may share links to our content and quote reasonable excerpts with attribution where permitted by law. Except for the permissions above or rights provided by law, you may not resell, republish or distribute our content or tools as your own product without written permission.
Calculator and assessment results depend on the information and assumptions entered. They are estimates or general assessments, not promises of revenue, signed clients, compliance or future performance. Illustrative people, firms, messages and workflows are examples unless expressly identified otherwise.
4. Information you submit
Provide accurate information that you are authorized to share. Do not submit another person's confidential or sensitive information through marketing forms or free tools. Use aggregate or de-identified information when describing your firm's intake unless we have agreed on an appropriate transfer process.
You retain your rights in the information you submit. You permit us to use it as reasonably needed to respond to your request or provide the resource you asked for, subject to our Privacy Policy and any applicable agreement. Submission does not give us ownership of your client files, firm data or other materials.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the website to impersonate another person, submit unlawful material, distribute malicious software, send spam, interfere with the website, bypass access restrictions, or access information without authorization. Automated access must not circumvent security controls or place an unreasonable load on the website.
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, security issues or unlawful activity. This provision does not permit us to disregard obligations owed under a separate paid-service agreement.
6. Intellectual property and third parties
We or our licensors own the website's content, design, software and branding, except for third-party materials and information belonging to others. No ownership rights transfer through website use.
Third-party names and trademarks belong to their owners. A reference to an integration or provider does not imply endorsement, certification or partnership unless expressly stated. A provider's security certification applies to that provider's stated scope; it is not a certification of Intakes.io.
Links and embedded services may take you to independent providers. Their services are subject to their own terms and privacy notices. We do not control their websites or guarantee their continued availability.
7. Availability and responsibility
We aim to keep the website useful and accurate, but content may contain errors or become outdated. We may correct, update or withdraw website content and free resources. The website and free resources are provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted access or error-free operation.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim implied warranties and conditions relating to the website and free resources, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To that same extent, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost business opportunities arising from use of, or inability to use, the website or free resources.
These limitations do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, limit non-waivable privacy or consumer rights, or alter liability under a separate agreement for paid services. They do not excuse fraud or wilful misconduct.
8. Privacy and cookies
Our Privacy Policy describes personal-information handling. Our Cookie Policy explains website tracking and your choices. Acceptance of these terms is not consent to optional cookies or marketing.
9. Changes and general terms
We may update these terms by posting a revised version and changing the date above. Updated terms apply prospectively to website use after they take effect, subject to any notice required by law. They do not retroactively change an existing paid engagement.
These website terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Subject to mandatory rights or jurisdiction rules, disputes about these website terms may be brought before the courts of Ontario. This provision does not override governing-law or dispute provisions in a separate service agreement.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
10. Contact
For questions about these terms, permissions or a website error, contact Lawprocess Technologies Inc. at legal@lawprocess.io. Identify your message as a terms or website inquiry; a sales meeting is not required.
